Just north of Des Moines, in Ankeny, Iowa, Deeply Rooted Healing is built on a simple philosophy. Treat the root cause, not just the symptom. Founder Amanda, alongside practitioner Kaci, offers a genuinely holistic approach to health, from Nutrition Response Testing and functional blood chemistry evaluation to HOCATT ozone sauna therapy, whole food supplements, and herbal remedies, for both adults and kids.
It’s the kind of functional, whole person care the greater Des Moines area didn’t have much of. The problem was, almost nobody could find it online.
The Challenge
When Deeply Rooted Healing came to us, the website didn’t reflect the practice Amanda had built. The design felt dated, and the content barely scratched the surface, just enough to list services, without the depth patients or search engines needed to actually understand what made this practice different.
We had two jobs in front of us. Clean up and modernize the site so it finally looked like the practice it represented. And build out real, substantial content across every service page so there was something worth finding in the first place.
What We Delivered
We started with a full content buildout across the site, giving real depth to the pages covering Nutrition Response Testing, functional blood work, ozone therapy, supplements, and pediatric care. The kind of content that search engines reward, and that patients actually want to read before booking an appointment.
At the same time, we gave the site itself a cleanup. Clearer navigation, a more modern feel, and a design that finally matched the level of care happening inside the clinic.
Since the practice sits in Ankeny but serves patients across the whole Des Moines metro, we built the SEO strategy around that reality from the start, targeting both Ankeny and Des Moines search terms instead of picking just one.
The Results
The numbers tell the story pretty clearly.
Deeply Rooted Healing now ranks number one for their own name, bringing in an estimated 85 visits a month on that search alone. Overall organic traffic has climbed to nearly 100 visits a month, a real shift for a site that used to barely get found.
For the first time, the practice is showing up on Google Maps for “holistic doctor Des Moines,” putting them right in front of local patients actively searching for exactly what they offer. A handful of other terms, like “holistic doctors in des moines iowa,” “holistic medicine des moines,” and “naturopathic doctor des moines,” are now sitting on page two and three, well within reach of page one. “Functional medicine ankeny” is especially close, just outside the first page with real potential to break through soon.

Deeply Rooted Healing has also earned recognition as one of the best naturopathic services in Ankeny, a nice reflection of the trust Amanda has built with patients across the community.
